Who plugs into an amp straight and plays the whole night without any FX? Or do you have some rev/delay as part of your normal sound?

Sometimes on, sometimes off. Depends on the song. Non of my amps have built in reverb so I use either my Guyatone RV2 or T-Rex Room Mate or if its rack stuff I use my G-Major.Rudy

I have 3 main sounds for me.1 rythym 2 clean and 3 lead...#1 has reverb and a little delay.#2 has reverd a little delay and chorus.#3 has reverb and delay.#3 will have 2 patches with different delay times. #1 has a short delay and damped reverb. My clean sound is the most "wet" of the 3.I also will add other things from time to time such as a Leslie sound to the clean.I think my effects are taseful and not over done.I also have been messing with a Boss DS1 for lead boss inline with a Boss AW3 set for a middle position wah tone.I find it gives me close to a sustainer with the notes...H3LL IS HOME!!!

I always use a very dry distorted tone for learning and practicing.
Only exception is if I cannot get into the "feel" of the part without the FX that the original artist used on that track.
When I am just "playing" something that I have already learned... then sometimes I turn on the reverb + delay etc. But I hardly ever do that anymore. So I use a dry distorted tone 99% of the time.

I play acoustic so when I plug my electric in I always use reverb and delay. The delay level is set so low that it only adds a little to the reverb. There is no obvious echo. I used to play a dry distorted tone but now I don't bother to change the settings. Also, if I practice scales on electric I don't plug in until after I am done.

I use a little of the amps built in delay most of the time. Maybe set to 2 or 3."Some days you're the dog, other days you're the hydrant." - on the back of the business card for Bella the Pomeranian

Guitar+wah+Tube screamer+amp for me.
And when I bring my GT8 to use with my amp (4CM), I don't use reverb or delay. To my ears, these fx kinda disappear quite easily in the band mix.
