Do anyone know the real difference between the two. I am looking at one and the seller said he 'installed' all of the patches to make his RPI into a RPII. I've never heard of any vendor allowing upgrades like to match their existing product line, maybe the upgrades give you that same patches but I just can't imaging the same features.

I really want to get a RP2. For those using them, what power amps do you find work the best.

I own the v1 and figure that there is no difference. I mean you might see a different op amp here and there, or a different DAC model, but nothing really that 'makes it different'. The v2 patches are an easy load. Nothing that would realistically difference between the version, aside from the paint-job. "In the know" please correct me.

This is correct. Once you update the patches, it sounds exactly the same.
