  • Which 1x12 combo amp is better?

In comparison, which 1x12 amp is better for metal tones, the Roland Cube 80x or the Peavey 6505 112 60w?

    Thanks,

    Chris

I've read bad things about the 80x (only). The other cubes seem fine. Better do a google search to find out any dirt on the 80x.

do you want tube or solid state? Are you going to be playing with a band or is it home noodling?

Id imagine the 6505 combo would be better.

You know I really don't know. I am trying to start a band, but then more than likely they will be very small gigs, so I don't think a 4x12 is needed until we get bigger. Playing at home is probably where it is going to be most.
