  • Gearmanndude Reviews on Youtube

Has anybody else watched this guy's gear reviews on Youtube? Lots of funny comments and he plugs the pedals in and just starts playing like people usually do (not much manual reading).

    Here's good one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6dGQF8dGoo

I liked his comments at the end: "What do people do with these things" and "Glad I saved the box."

Edit: I forgot to mention he sounds like Jack Black.

Haha that was good! Love the lack of caring, the guy's pretty honest lol.

Yeah, he's done some good comparisons between the MXR phase 90, EVH, and Custom Shop Phase 90.

90% of people talking about "tone secrets" make me want to punch them in the face.

100% of them if they're "vintage tone purist" types.

I wanted to hear one of gearmann's demo's on the Bad Monkey pedal and after the page loaded a notice from Warner Music Group warned that the sound had been disabled. So a vid without sound played due to copy write infringement. This was the first time I've seen this.

I've seen it with music videos. Maybe he was playing riffs that Warner took offense too?

What happens when WMG goes through all the cover tunes and parts of songs that people post in videos of themselves playing guitar? Now everyone will have to write their own tunes.

I don't know, man. I'm not even sure if that's what they've done, but I wouldn't think they'd have any rights over the content of his videos.

Actually, I just remembered - he likes to use tunes to intro his videos - I bet that's what they didn't like, a particular piece of recorded music that he borrowed.
