I have the RM20 head. Great little amp and the recording out is pretty nifty. I use a 1x12 cabinet with it for jams and rehearsal sessions. I would think it would be pretty handy for studio work.

Does the record-out have a speaker simulator, or is it just straight off the preamp?

In fact I have two XTC modules. One is stock and the other is modded by Pete. Love them both! You can't go wrong with this module for plain hard Rock!

I just sold the KH version of this. It was good, but not great. The standard rhythm module (KH2) just didn't sound at all good to my ears. The KH1 and 3 were fine, but overall I think I just want a mesa sound...

nice. you gettin good use outta that wireless? i just got a call today from ups saying my amp will be here tomorrow...well i guess its technically today. i got mine used and it blew up on me the 2nd day i played it. cant wait to actually hear it. while it was in the shop i got my ultra modded with better parts, a ultra/ultraXL mid switch, and a noise gate. for cleans i plan on using the kh1 since its supposed to go well with active pickups. i should have a modded xtc here in a lil while. both mods are from rob at jadedfaithmods.com

edit- oh i forgot i also got a tight/loose switch on the ultra

I'm putting the wireless to good use. Last couple of gigs I've taken a walk off stage & into the crowd. Goes over a treat.

I've been trying to NOT look at all the mods that are out there. I don't need to go down that path - I know how much the mods cost and have seen guys who have dozens of them. Seems like an addiction that could lead to financial ruin!

Speaker Sim. Pretty good one at that.

does that 212 sound full enough? because of the weight of my head i'm thinkin of sellin it and gettin a rm4 but im not too fond of racks either cause they endup takin more space. i gotta try to find one of those g-flex cabs. i hear they're great.

I have a G-Flex speaker in my Genz Benz combo. It is a very nice-sounding speaker with monster lows, even in a half back combo.
