I need your help! (Carvin V3)

Ok it's not that desperate, but I do really need advice on something.

Carvin has the V3812 full stack on sale for 1549 on their web site.

Is this a good buy on this amp?

I ask this because the last amp i bought was a Crate full stack for 1000 bucks back in 89 so I really don't know if that's a good deal for that full stack or not. I've heard nothing but good stuff about the amp, but I don't know if that' price is good decent or i should spend that amount on something better?

Have you checked the completed listings for this amp on ebay? That's where I usually check first and from what I understand so does every pawnshop in the country.

I played the V3 full stack at carvin's HQ over the summer. I found the amp to be good, but nothing mind blowing. as far as cabs go, You could save some money by getting avatar cabs or searching CL. IMO, you can get a better full stack for $1500.
