  • Ummkay Guru's, tube question

When replacing the finals, I know the tubes "are matched
in sets," but should the amp be rebiased? I thought only if you
went to a different tube this would need be done...... Thx for your
    input in advance......

You should bias no matter what because even tubes of the same brand and model variety can draw different current. Therefore, to be optimally set, you would need to measure the new plate voltage and adjust the bias from that draw to about 70% of the tube's full value.
    "Got a crazy feeling I don't understand,
    Gotta get away from here.
Feelin' like I shoulda kept my feet on the ground
Waitin' for the sun to appear..."

on another thread. I'm just not an amp. tech. and was afraid
of killing something...your input is gr8ly appreciated..
