I stand by buying used Peavey's shop around there are lots to choose from.
I love my Ultra + tons of thump and growl great cleans too.
120 watt with a 50 watt switch.Killer amps.Got mine for $250.00.
I don't mind buying used from a mom and pop store it keeps the economy rolling IMO.
I hate the big box stores for the most part.

I bought my (used) Peavey 5150 head (Made in USA) from jgcable (also made in USA probably ), a nice deal.

But that's a minimal amount at best.
Buying a used U.S.A.-made amp is no guarantee the seller will support the economy and pass that money along. They may very well buy a new Ibenhad or ESPee with it, which doesn't have a U.S.-based parent company.

Boutique amps cost more, and thus more goes to an American company, but boutique builders are usualyl so small that most of that money goes right back into the rent, materials, or basic living expenses. That helps one family at most (that of the boutique builder).

If you're worried about the company you purchased from investing in China, then that cuts out Peavey, who are now making guitar amps in China, and Carvin, whose cobalt acoustic guitars are also made in China.

As I've said before, if you can afford the LUXURY of buying only new, US-made gear, power to you. Not all of us are so fortunate, and buying anything used from someone here in the US is more apt to benefit the economy here than the overseas economy. So I don't buy the "used is as bad as foreign" argument. The idea is to keep our money from leaving the country, first and foremost.

The whole "Made in X Country" thing is out of control. All it reflects is where the product was assembled. And besides, you're all going to end up sticking a Made In Japan or Made in Korea Tubescreamer in front of it anyway.

Buying used from someone who will turn the money around and buy foreign-made goods with it still equates to buying foreign yourself, you're just in a position to say "yeah well, I didn't buy those foreign goods myself". In the end, the money ends up leaving this country.

Buying used music CDs doesn't support the artist, it supports the seller. Buying a used Splawn doesn't support Splawn any more than buying a used Behringer supports China (financially speaking).

But doesn't that seller have employees, a wife and kids? And doesn't that money go to feeding and clothing their American (presumably) asses? And doesn't that money go to the (presumably) Americans working in the orange groves and the marketing team for Old Navy, who then maybe, go to Walmart and buy a new CD, maybe? And thus the Artist gets a few greenbacks to spend on heroin which is basically supporting terrorists.

So basically - stop buying new CD's or the Terrorists win!

By buying anything at all from the stores, with sales tax you support the government who wants to take away your freedoms. Farm everything by yourself, dig a well, grow your own wood so you can build furniture and ukuleles.
