I'm not sure on the price but that's a good bass head. Since he put in a more powerful amp and probably didn't upgrade the speakers or crossover I'd make sure nothing is blown. If he ran it full on without the extension speaker he could have trashed the speakers and/or crossover. In that price range used swr and carvin bass amps would also be good ones to look for.
being bass is what I play mjtripper is right, a very good amp and speaker combo...I always thought the eq in that series was a lil hissy and also prefer to use power amps and rack effects or an amp/pedalboard/cab to get my tone.
for the price and what it weighs ( meaning it's a pain in the back to move around ) I would also buy a head/cab and not one unit, but if it is going to sit in one place most of the time..yes a nice sounding unit. Bring your bass with you and take it for a testdrive. That's the beauty of CL over Ebay sometimes -
Umm, correct me if Im wrong(I can be sometimes), but isnt a mosfet a power amplifier, not a pre amplifier. Does he maybe mean, blendable tube and opamp(SS preamp device).
you mean you people actually read home-made descriptions? :ROTF:
