think im going to start lookin for one on the bay for the cheap, then do the RR mod and master volume mod and have a cheap assed 1959RR

hot rod plexi tone on the cheap hopefully

I'd do it. I have the 1990 and really dig it. Just make sure you solder the tranny to the board and get rid of the plastic clip. This is the inherent weak spot in these things that cause them to fail. Did mine shortly after I got mine, and it's been rock solid, since.
