Don't sell it. you've got one that was made while they were still allowed to use lead solder. those things sound great! if it ever needs preamp tubes, go EH. do not ever put JJ's in there. and stick with the winged =c= 's for powertubes.

Why no JJ's? I have a quad of JJ KT-77's that kick hiney in the TSL 100. They are working with the JJ 12ax7's.

JJ's sound good but take away the sweetness in the midrange that makes me love Marshalls. If I wanted a "modern" metal sound then JJ's would be my choice... but I probably wouldn't play Marshalls if that were the case.

Well as an update, the TSL is deff here to stay. Love it through my 1960a with G12T 75s. Im torn which I like more, it or my modded by yours trully 900. They both sound great, but different. It leaves me with an unsettled mind as to which one to use at shows and practice every time.

The day after I posted this my reverb failed! Uncle Alberts is working on it as we speak...

Kevin is great. If I could afford him, Id have him do some work for me. I call and bug him every now and then about this that or the other. His number has been a staple in my address book on my phone for a few years.
