Hey all. I'm hoping some of you amp builders can help me figure something out. I recently purchased a Randall RG50TC amp on a closeout deal from MF. The amp was already discounted almost 50% when I bought it, then got another 50.00 off with a 4th of July code special. I received the amp today and noticed that the level on the gain channel does not work. I called Randall and they said it was a defect and to return it. The problem is the amp is discontinued, so I can't get another. MF has offered to discount the price 50.00 more if I want to keep it. (something I inquired about, since that basically means I am getting a 800.00 for about 300.00 new, but with a bad level knob on one channel) I am wondering how big of an issue it would be to fix it.
The gain channel still plays, it is just controlled by the master volume at this point. It doesn't get super loud at this point. The clean channel is fine.
Can anyone provide me some insite? ( I can still return it for a full refund until the end of the month)
