If I could get the fucker to update to 10.0 I might have something to talk about. I'm getting a little pissed.

Got it done at 1 am. The culprit? A driver on my midi converter that needed to be updated. Go figure...

Not shocked. Almost everything I've read on Axe-fx issues has revolved around MIDI interfaces. I think most of the manufacturers of them just test to make sure they work with cakewalk and then call it a day. It really would be ideal if they released a new hardware revision with built in USB support (even if internally it just went through a usb -> midi interface) to eliminate these problems of third party hardware or driver issues.

Congrats! Loving mine more and more as time goes on and I continue to tweak/learn.
And for John, I'll gladly go head-to-head with any Triple Rec rig...any time.

I've had my Ultra for quite some time but still haven't done much deep editing in it, just tweaked some factory programs. But I can say that I much preffered it through the QSC Powered monitor as opposed to power amp and 4x12 cab. It seemed to really come to life that way. If you can pickup a QSC HPR 122i powered monitor, I'd do it as its well worth it. In fact I later picked up a second QSC HPR 122i and I can run my Axe Fx in stereo

I guess you just had to be there. It was outdoor show at Daytona Bike Week. The guy had a Triple Recto sitting on top of 2 full stacks of Marshall cabs. He was cranked. The sound literally went through your body. It defined the word CRUSHING.

Robert...I'm really hoping that's the case. I hope that I've purchased the ultimate "cure" for GAS. I will say that it has about every amp that I've ever thought about playing. The MK IV sim is $$$... I've always wanted one, but could never afford one, and it would have never been practical for me as a bedroom stadium rocker. I already dig the Marshas! I really want to dig into the Shiva too. I haven't had much time to dig into it yet though. I'm planning on using the editor to speed up the learning curve a bit.

I will say this -- it is indeed superior to my Eleven Rack from a standpoint of sound. No question. I do like the layout of the 11R however. I'm not planning on editing too deeply, as I like a good basic tone, with a touch of delay & chorus. Beyond that, the rest is gravy, and not necessary for my needs. Time will tell.

I have no doubt...I've heard some great tones come from the Dual and Triple Recs. I know I can hang with them though while being able to dial up many other tones that they could never dream of. I really wish you lived close enough to test drive my rig...knowing what I know about the tones you dig, I'm sure you'd be loving it.

On a side note I played through my other guitatist's backup RM100 rig at rehearsal last week (he has two) and loved it...used the Tweed/Plexi/Ultra modules and pretty much nailed the tones I needed. Without a doubt a great bang for the buck head (but crazy heavy!).

Here's a good comparison between a Road King Recto and an 11 Rack. Not any real strong differences to my ear. I imagine the Axe-fx is a little closer still...

Here's a demo I did to illustrate how well the Eleven Rack models the Mesa Boogie Road King II head - and in this case what my Channel 3 sounds like. It was...
