    odd cause i get nearly zero feedback from my roadster unless im like 2 feet away, try a noise gate that might do it. if you want to check out a different amp, try the 5150III, sounds pretty amazing at any level, but kinda a one trick pony, also try out the markV...most versatile tube amp out ther IMO, dead quiet, overall best amp i own.

      If you don't really need a good clean, I'd go with a Peavey 5150/6505. Cheap even new and very reliable. And these amps are made to rock!

      The Peavey JSX/3120 that I've heard would sound also very good for what you plan doing.

      Marshal DSL 50/100 would also do a good job.

        Perhaps one tube (or more) went microphonic, it happens even to new ones
