Ain't that pedal high gain? All the clips I heard from it sounded like having enough gain for me?

BTW, are you planning playing only in your room or will you have to do some "live" work once in a while?

If you are only a basement player, get a good modeler or good high gain pedal and be done with it. Give us more details.

the boogie MKIV makes a KILLER bedroom amp. i actually though it sounded better at low volume than when i tried it with the band. might be expensive in turkey though...

Well it will mostly be a bedroom amp.At least for now. About the Suhr Riot it sounds good for moderate gain stuff. But still it doesnt sound like a high gain amp for me. Well the boogies are pretty expensive here in Turket as you said Mark. For instance Mk V is around 3500 bucks!

Well yeah there are no Turkish amp brand that I know. My budget is around 1500 bucks (at it is of course a great amount for a bedroom set up) but of course American brands are much more expensive here. (also European brands such as ENGL etc...)

Have you tried the ENGL 530 preamp?

It has a built-in 1.5 watts amp if I remember well... Headphones output... If your carvin amp has an FX return or input that bypasses the preamp, they could be used together.

Also, there is a lot of small wattage amp out there these days. Jet City, Blackstar, Krank... All of these offer a small high gain amp with a low watt output.

If you are planning doing mostly basement noise, IMHO you don't need to spend much money on a high wattage amp. Even a 20 watts amp can get very loud.

I don't understand you guys saying that the Vetta sucks. Granted, the factory presets suck donkey balls but I can get just about any sound imaginable out of it with some tweaking.

Should do the job... Or wait for the new upcoming POD HD... Should be out before Xmas.

I am currently using a Line 6 Toneport and an Digi 11 Rack with KRK monitors. It sounds great but it definitely can not rip my face off like my 50w tube amp can. I am likely going to buy a powered monitor speaker (like the QSC HPR122i) for those times where I want a little more interaction between the output and the guitar.

Why not get the AxeFX standard or a Ultra is you can swing the cash? That is pretty much the industry standard and I even saw Megadeth using them last month in SF.
