  • Musical Pickups again.

Upon receiving a new BKP Painkiller, I've had it installed in my SL2H-MAH.

    Holy shit.

Put this thing in Mahogany. It's got INSANE roar. Grinds like no other.
    I like EL34s.

Yes, I love the C-bomb! Really dark and smooth, but you can get good crunch if you hike your treble up! With the Painkillers I don't even have to - In alder/ash they crunch like no other and in mahogany it's thick low-end grind.
      I like EL34s.

        What have I been saying?
Painkiller/Cold Sweat is my favourite pup config. Especially in Alder.

Yeah, I want a Cold Sweat for the front position of my Kelly to go with the Nailbomb!!
Funny , I tried the Nailbomb in my RR24 and it didn't work well, Then I tried two other
Motor City models and hated them, will never use his stuff again
So I have a BG Hellabucker on order, I'll see how that works.

              Sup?
              Gotta love the BKP's
I have a ceramic Warpig 7 in my custom Doberman DS7V, and a 6 string ceramic Warpig in my shattered glass warrior ,, and I love the low mid growl of these P'ups. I also have a Miracle Man 7 in a BS project Ibanez that sounds awesome as well,, but the Ibanez rout is not deep enough to adjust the P'up height so it is just under the strings and HOTTTTTT. I have found you really have to play with the height to find the sweet spot,,but when you do,,,DAMN..

Not really. They sound pretty cool names in themselves to me but also describe the sound on offer in the most obvious way at the same time.

If you see something called a Painkiller or a Warpig or a Holy diver you instantly know what to expect.

The pick-ups sound the opposite of silly.

Are these pickups special order exclusively? Average price?

                          No. Stupid price for pickups.

I will say I love the warpig, but if I didn't get it free with the guitar, I would never have spent the dough.

Don't you live in the UK?

Here, the average price for pickups is about $50. BKP's usually cost twice to quadrupal that.

Average price is about £90-£100 per pick up. £180-£200 for calibrated sets (new) and probably 2/3 that used.
A bit on the pricey side but they are very high quality and will tailor them to your needs if you have any specific requests.
