300 watt head with a 280 watt cab?

Will a 300 watt head work with a 280 watt cab? Or must the head be 'smaller' than the cab?

Are you going to use the head running at maximum volume, so it's putting out 300 watts? If so then you will put the cab at risk, however I reckon there's no way in the world you'll be using the amp flat out, so it will be fine.
