There is only one flaw on the RM100 that I could see after gigging with one regularly for the last few years....
    Carrying it.
Its an easy 100lbs in the road case.

Yep, definetly a heavy sucker! But thats why I just tell the singer to pick up the "microphone" case and bring it inside for the gig. Thats what singers are for

that's why I got one of these:

Carries 68kg (the RM100 weighs around 30kg) & folds flat so it doesn't take up too much room in the car. The only real lifting I have to do now is from the boot of my car to the trolley, and from the trolley to the stage. Carrying that fuckin' head 100 metres from the stage to my car after a 4 hour gig was killing me!

                        Got it!!

Haven't had much time to mess with but it's here. I'm waiting on the footswitch and the 6L6 tubes. Has the original EL34's so I can play till then. And it got sent with a "Clean" module instead of the "KH1" so can't comment on that module yet but I like the 1086 so far. I'm already impressed with the note definition (I guess that's what you call it). Really clear sound. I also got a matching logo for my Carvin cab which is cool. And the wife-ish decorated while I was getting rid of the boxes... Here's pics..

And one for Grandturk. This is as close as I'm looking to get for a gut shot...:ROTF:

                        Clips to come...

It arrived! Cool. I haven't had a chance to play with either of those modules but I've heard good things about both.

I had the KH model head. Came with the KH-1,2, & 3. They were all gone shortly after getting it. I thought the "clean" sounded better. The KH-1 was wayyy too sterile.

The 2 things I don't like about the Clean are #1 - it breaks up immediately. Have to turn the gain up quite a bit to get any volume and it distorts at about 1.5. #2 - there's no highs.. Just really dark. I dimed the treble and presence and still not much highs. The first problem probably would be fixed with a change in R1, has the 470 ohm resistor. http://www.grailtone.com/guitar-tone...fications.html I'd mod it but this module isn't mine and isn't staying. I'm liking the 1086 though. Sounds great with the gain boost on and mid switch left. Really thick and crunchy..

If you want to hear a very nice clean try the stock Blackface module. Its outstanding.
