Avid Eleven Rack

I just picked up an Avid Eleven Rack and planning on using it both as an Pro Tools interface and an amp modeler through my Fender Twin.

Anyone else using this piece? If so, any advice and tips would be much appreciated.

I use one but haven't recorded much with it at all. I use it stand alone with powered monitors as my "practice amp".

I used one for a bit. I liked the way it sounded direct to recording or direct into the board in a band setting. Didn't like the way it sounded as a preamp as much.

Check with deflep on this board...he's got some good demos on youtube (defleputube) as well. Also on youtube, check out vaisatchatrucci...he's got some great settings and surely could help you out.

I was pretty happy with mine. Sold it when I got my AxeFx, but kinda wish i still had it around. Super easy to use from the front panel. The Axe -- not so much. I think with the update, it looks like it would be even better.

I think I need to demo one of these. I've seen videos demos and I'm not yet convinced. In particular, I like to know how to match input/output levels before I start creating patches. I don't use an amp, I just record direct from FX processor to multitrack.

I'll believe this when I see it, but this was posted on the 11 rack presets forum as what is coming in a March 2011 upgrade. (Please note useage of the verbiage "upgrade" and not "update" used to imply it will cost moolah.)

It all sound like good additions to me. Hopefully it's real...

Here's a vid of one of the Shadows Fall guys playing through one at NAMM. I believe he is using the bogner 101b model. It's hard to tell for sure though because the camera guy is all about the guy with the guitar.
