  • 5150 Impedance?

I have my 5150 at home in my bedroom and I am hooking up it to my Crate amp speakers... now the speakers (2) are 8ohms and have phone jacks coming from each of them, so I am plugging them both in the speaker outputs... what ohm setting should I use on the amp? 4, 8, or 16?

    I am thinking 4...

Didn't want to lug my 4ohm 4x12 cab all the way home from the garage...

Depends on how they are wired.
    Series or parallel.
Independent, they will need 8 ohm each which the 5150 doesn't provide for (does it)?

Wire the two in either series or parallel to work together and depending on
how it's done it will come out 4 or 16, but not 8 for the pair.

It's the same as running 2 8 ohm cabs. With parallel jacks, (2) 8 ohm cabs - 4 ohms.
