I have a DSL100 1/2 stack and it's served me very well. But a local GC had one of these RM100's used and the build quality looks very good. I like individual bias on each power tube, beefy trannies, etc. I did not get a chance to try it out, however.

I saw that the Lynch box uses EL34s. I'd sort of be more inclined to go for that since I'm a big Marshall fan, but maybe the regular sounds better.

I know you've played and liked the DSL100, so I'm curious about how you'd judge both.

Just looking outright, I like the flexibility of the RM100, I'd be inclined to make my own modules, but on the other hand I'm very happy with the Marshall, it gives me all the tones I love except for a good hard rock tone (AC/DC. Tesla, Def Leppard), when I switch to the "thicker for that tone" Laney. I don't really want to mod the DSL because I like the tones it does right now and wouldn't want to mess those tones up.
Versatility, build quality. I really haven't heard a module I didn't like. I run with stock modules. Blackface, Ultra and the XTC. One of my favorite high gain tones is the Bogner Ectasy 101B which is what the XTC is based on. It sounds exactly like it to me. The Ultra is super high gain. To me it sounds alot like the Peavey Ultra gain. The Blackface is dead nuts Fender Blackface.
I have heard incredible Lynch modules, Pete Twisteramps has crazy modded modules, the Kirk Hammett modules are very accurate. You can handle any genre of music with this amp if you choose the right modules. Its got 2 loops, serial and parallel, and you can switch out the power tubes from 6l6's to EL34's.
I love the amp. Couldn't be happier unless of course I had a loop modded SLO100 or my old zebra covered SLO100 clone that I sold to a JCF member and have been trying to get back for years now!

I've had 2 RM100's an the RM20. I really liked the amps, but buying module afte module and tons of different tubes to try was a money pit, so I left the MTS family. As far as modules went, my favorites were: 1086, Salvation Matchvox, Salvation Marsh-All, Friedman Brown Eye. I didn't like: Stock plexi, KH1, Blackface, Brown, JF Recto. If you get a head, look into Salvation modded modules. He makes some killer stuff.

Also be advised, the MTS series is heavy as hell to lug around. When I sold my RM100C, it weighed in at 135 pounds.

I had the RM100KH. I couldn't get rid of the KH mods fast enough. I had a modded XTC, but thought it was too dark & muddy. The SL+ I had modded to JCM800 spec was craptacular. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED my Gigmods Recto! Other cool ones: Mr Scary (stock), Ultra XL (stock), Plexi (stock) with a Boss SD-1 pushing it, and whatever the name of the Lynch Recto one was. A couple I really wanted to get: Gigmods Slodano, Mark Series, and ( if it has happened) Gigmods Shiva.

I'm betting i'd really dig the Friedman mods too, knowing what I do now.

          what about the RM4 rack?

If I go for the RM100, I need a cab. If I go for the RM4 rack, I'll probably need a power amp and set of speakers. Just keeping my options open.

I run my RM100 through a Marshall 1960B loaded with T75 celestions. It sounds fantastic.

Old Carvin 4x12 with G12t-100's here (75's big brother) and it sounds great. As for using the RM4, most seem to really like the RT2-50 power amp as it's really versatile with the tube availability and MIDI options. But the options are as endless as you wish to look for.

I so want to get the RM4... I keep missing out on some great eBay deals. One recently sold for $300 (unloaded).
