Hey guys. I'm looking really hard at these two amps. I've played the older Rocker 30, and the Thunder 30. I liked the Thunder a little better, but both those amps are pretty different from their bigger brothers.
Seems that the Thunderverb is a slightly more "vintage" voiced amp than the Rockerverb, which is fine with me since I'm perfectly happy hitting them with an OD pedal. I also like that the Thunderverb has the built in attenuator, but not enough to sway me one way or the other.
I'm not in need of an ultra-modern sounding amp, and they both seem to have a lot of gain on tap. I like a tighter sound, with useful mids, and don't care much about low end thump, since I usually dial that out anyway.
My Chupacabra will likely be leaving since my Splawn covers most of those tones except for the most vintage-y Plexi part, but I don't really use that anyway.
Thoughts? Experiences?
