Anyone know how prone to feedback the GFS pickups are, say compared to the Duncan Design pickups? I love the price I see on the GFS pups, but dont want to replace one poorly potted/shielded pup with another. Im a firm believer that you get what you pay for but every once in a while. The price looks good, but Im afraid the quality will match the price.

I have no personal experience, but people seem to like them and say good things about them from what I see and hear. I hear you though...... I have considered them in the past, but the prices kinda scare me away.
Same as those china built amps these days......... some cool ideas out there, but man, the prices seem too good. You just wonder what kinda parts and workmanship goes into them for what they charge."clean sounds are for pussies" - Axewielder

i have some GFS pickups in some of the "cheap" guitars i play out with. no squealing issues at all. i have the "vintage-split" humbucker in my telecaster, and i have the "bigmouth" humbucker in a les paul jr. both guitars sound fabulous and i have no feedback issues on stage.GEAR:
some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!
some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!
and finally....
i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

I have a Dream 180 in my SLSMG, and it's awesome. Clean tones are great with it!Dreaded Silence - Boston Melancholic Metal

I had a pair of Dream 180 pickups in my Kelly and they sounded fabulous.
I agree with Sinistas....the clean tones are some of the best I have heard.
I have used several GFS pickups, and while they were all pretty good, the Dream 180 were my favorites.
Never had any problems with feedback with any of them either. My Gear: Stoneman SG-1, Hufschmid Tantalum H6, ESP KH-6, Sully #8 JCF One-Off, Templar GuitarWorks Relic Prototype, James Hetfield Tribal Hunt KL Explorer, Coobeetsa CCG-10-DX PRO Eagle, Schecter Hellraiser C-1 Hybrid, Daly Heiro Custom, Gibson Les Paul Custom, Gibson SG Menace, Peavey Vypyr 60 Tube

Yes, GFS makes the Dream 180 pickup for the bridge and the neck position. The neck one in the Kelly had some of the best clean tones ever.My Gear: Stoneman SG-1, Hufschmid Tantalum H6, ESP KH-6, Sully #8 JCF One-Off, Templar GuitarWorks Relic Prototype, James Hetfield Tribal Hunt KL Explorer, Coobeetsa CCG-10-DX PRO Eagle, Schecter Hellraiser C-1 Hybrid, Daly Heiro Custom, Gibson Les Paul Custom, Gibson SG Menace, Peavey Vypyr 60 Tube

Hey
I have some of those and find it hard to fault them for the price.
The rail humbuckers for my tele seemed to squeal a bit with high gain. Gotta chop the volume between riffs deal.
The Gretsch replacements for my electromatic (retrotron hot nashvilles) were hotter than stock and quiet no squealing. worked great for my application but would in no way cut it in my Metallica cover act.
Patt.
