I think I might have to put a RM4 back on my shopping list...

His Mesa Mark IV module sounds sweet too. Check the YouTubes for it. Nails that early Metallica sound.

Guys, can you use something like a Boss GT 10, a TC Nova system or a Line 6 M 13 to switch between modules?

I believe you can just plug it into the effects loop.

They look and sound very nice. Congrats Shredderbroseph and have fun brother Gary..I haven't played one myself. I actually played an older Randall tube amp fairly recently I thought sounded pretty cool..came out 2005 or so.

I gotta grab a 2-12 for my kid. He's plugged into a 15" Peavey Pa cab that sounds pretty good...odd.

Does it sound good at lower volume levels?

Yes. Basically you can use any MIDI controller or anything with MIDI controlling capabilities. One thing to watch for though, the loops are line level. So instrument level FX don't work that well with it. I was running pedals and there were volume boosts and drops with each pedal I turn off/on. Now I'm running a rack FX unit line level and a Behringer FCB1010 MIDI controller with the UNO chip and all is good.

My RM100 sounds surprisingly great at bedroom levels.

I pull the trigger and bought an RM22. Now I need to get a Cab, some effects and of course, a ton of modules!!!! I mainly play 80's hair metal, hard rock and shred type music (Vai, MacAlpine, Moore). Since a want to go with a simple setup, I'm thinking about getting a 1x12 cab to start. Want kind of speaker would you recommend for that. I'm looking at Port City cabs right now. For effects, I'm still undecided, but would like to get something simple that I could also use for channel/module switching. Anyway, your feedback is always appreciated.

Great question. A 1-12" could be a great option for my son with his 1-12" 6505+ combo..

I'm thinking my favorite speaker ..Celestion classic 80. But I don't want to screw around. I just want a great stock 1-12" cab!

Oh hell I checked into the Port City. Eminence..I was never a fan of those. The price is high too at 700+>> I'll stick with the Marshall2-12" I have lined up..if the dick would call me back!

Just bought a 1x12 OS Port City cab loaded with a WGS Veteran 30 speaker for 585 shipped. Cant wait to hook it up to my RM22.

Emperor cabs are really good. Built tough and good pricing. More and more 'heavy' underground bands have been using them.

The only thing left for me to get is an effects system and my rig will be complete.
