Welcome to the club! I have an RM4. Love the MIDI control and the modules are great. So far the only module I've tried that didn't really impress my is the Plexi.

Plexi is a good base for mods.. That's what I sent Rob for the 59RR.

Exactly what I did. Bought it, had 2 bad pots, sent to Rob, Got it today. Had a little while to play. The JCM side is fucking amazing!! Highest gain I've had in my RM (or at least most percieved gain with the way it's voiced). Way better then the stock SL+ I had. Just brutal!! The JMP side has a nice mid gain, very clear and articulate, with raw grittiness too. Very RR-ish. I need more time to dial it in but I'm loving it so far..

Oh, and I picked up a Randall RS212CS cab with vintage 30's tonight. I've never had anything with V30's so should be fun to try them separately and along with my G12T-100's.

I was having a lot of fun with it tonight. The JMP side is very cool. With the gain right up was way cool, especially when you flick the diode switch.

JCM800 mode with all dials straight up (6 o'clock) sounds like it was MADE to play Victims Of The Future through. So I did.

The problem now is how the hell to use it?! I wanted something to sit between my Blackface & XTC. This thing sounds so good with mid gain tones it satisfies that need. But it sounds so fucking awesome cranked up that I want to use it like that too. I did find a setting where I could flick the JMP/JCM switch and get good tones with either without changing anything else, so that might the go for live use. JMP for mellower tunes, flick to JCM for rockier ones.

What does it cost to have one of those modules modded? I've had several stock modules and have done some minor mods myself, but have never had a pro do the works on one.

With all this talk - and seeing the youtube clips, I'm jones'ing to get an RM22 head and a few modded modules. Dammit!

After watching some of these clips of the RM22 with modules - both stock and modded, my next amp purchase will be a RM22. Check out these clips I found on YT:

it cost a couple hundred to have the 59RR built. You have to provide the donor module. No extra charge for the repair work. After buying the secondhand Plexi, shipping both ways to the US and the cost of the mod, it has been a little bit of money. But I now have a cool as hell module that can cop several Marshall tones, and for significantly less than any one of the amps that it's copping would have cost me. I'm a happy camper.

GP, I was on the fence about getting Jaded Faith's 59RR, Plexi/Tweed (Marshall or Fender tones at the flick of a switch) or Rverb (Orange Rockerverb tones). In the end, it was MattFig's 59RR vids that tipped me

That guy in the first vid is one of the inspirations behind me getting into the MTS stuff. His playing is way over and above my abilities but gets great tone.

I completely agree with G on that Mattfig's video helped me in making the decision. I was worried that I'd lose what I'd found in the SL+ I bought and only had a few weeks but had to sell it to get the 59RR. Worries disappeared and the 59RR is the SL+, JMP, JCM (800 and 900), all in one package. Only thing I'm missing and wish it had was RR's fingers.. lol

And you can contact Rob (jadedfaithmods.com) about the mod price. Or PM him on mtsforum.grailtone.com . He does updates as he goes and I wouldn't want to give the wrong info. But the price is very, very good. Especially compared to others.

Yeah, Jaded Faith & his 59RR is on my "list". The "I need to buy" list.

Whoa, that 59RR sounds very cool. Hadn't heard of it before. Might have to make that my first "mod" module.
