    This is my 3rd post about my 6505+...tired of hearing about it? This should be it. The So-Cal direct to this amp souds so good, but Im wanting to fool with my GT-10 with it. Do I need to do this using the FX loop or do like I did with my cheapie Hughes amp and go guitar into GT, then GT into amp. What I'm wanting to do is use the 6505's distortion but throw in some chorus/delay...not wanting to use the amp models. I assume that means the FX loop is what I need to do I just want to make sure...if I did something to screw up my beloved 6505 Id be pissed!

    I'd suggest the 3 cable method, goes a little something like this;
    Guitar into gt10
    gt10 fx loop send in the amp input
    amp fx loop send into gt10 return
    gt10 output into amp fx loop return.

    Simple as that!
    If you choose to do that basically you have your amps' preamp in the loop of the gt10, which means you can put effects before the preamp and after the preamp as well. Simply turn off the amp models on the gt10 and activate the loop.
    I feel festive all year round. Deal with it.

      As above.

      Put the "amp sim" in the GT10 to off. Kick the "loop" to "on" in the GT10. Make sure level send/in are set to 100.

      I suggest that you start with a blank patch with only the "loop" in the GT10 to "on", then play with the FX chain and have fun.
