Music is a form of art, it doesn't give a shit what medium has been used.

The creators have the option of choosing the medium based on their preferences wether it's aesthetics, quality, price, ease of use or something else.

I'd only use SSL consoles and 2" tapes not because I give a shit about if something is old-school or new school, analog or digital but simply I like things which sound the best. But do you have any idea how much that costs? Even a simple maintenance of analog studio equipment can costs tens of thousands of dollars.

But I can also make music with a guitar brought from a clothing catalog and a metal-zone pedal going straight into a TV set. Now the aesthetic quality of the music might be crap but it's still music.
There's also music that's made exclusively in digital environment.

I've been extremely critical of the usage of digital technology but it's ridiculous trying to make statements which limit something so subjective and abstract as is music.
