  • Identify This Humbucker

Does anyone know what make and model pup this is? It was in the bridge position on my new DK2M. Sounded pretty good, too.

    TIA

Not the original if the guitar was supposed to be new.
Korean MFG like what comes in the import PRS's except two rows of adj poles.
    Really? well screw Mark Twain.

I bought the DK2M used... I figured the seller wanted to keep the stock DiMarzio.

Possibly a gibson (the gibson pickups I have have the second cable hole on the base), looks pretty old from the photo but probably not SD, unless it's an older model. Duncan did do humbuckers with double rows of screws, but I've never seen a Duncan with a gold base. You never know, I could be talking out of my ass.
I feel festive all year round. Deal with it.

Probably the crappiest no-name pup the seller could use to fill the hole.

It sounded pretty good, but people do this sort of thing when they sell a guitar...

Probably an el cheapo offshore pickup.

Yeah it's probably a stock pickup from some random guitar the seller or his buddies swapped it out with. Since there is no type of brand markings or stampings all you can likely really do is rule out the makes and models that do.

The only pickup I've seen with 2 rows of screws like that are the Gibson Dirty Fingers. Not saying there aren't other out there. The screws look gold to me are they?

you'll never be able to find out. I can say that's a neck pickup.

How can you tell this is a neck pup?

Because it's stamped n on the back?
