Groove Tubes gold series

Has anyone tried the gold series groove tubes? Thinking about buying some EL84's and 12AX7's for my tiny terror. I've used JJ's in almost every amp I've had but I'm wanting to try something different and there fairly cheap.

I think Groove Tubes are just vetted chinese tubes. From my research the whole gold plated stuff is bullshit and a waste of money. I recently retubed my Road King with Doug's Tubes tonekit and SED Winged power tubes. Freaking huge improvement imo over the stock tubes.
