Wilkinsi, if you want to go rack rather than floor model, I've got a Boss GT Pro that I'm not using.

If you buy new you're looking at $1200ish!
As for the G-Major2, yeah it has a couple additions over the G-Major but its still basically the same sounds. If you're careful with the original G-Major its still a good unit for guitar and they are starting to drop under $200.00 used now which makes them a good deal. I haven't messed with the Intellifex but most users seem to like them and they're reasonably priced used as well. You may notice a trend, I'm all for ancient effects processors as long as they sound good and can be obtained fairly cheap
Well, I'm using a G-Major and a G-Sharp, so I'm using pretty old units myself The difference is that those can be had cheap while the G-Force is still rather expensive (even used) here in Europe. The G-Sharp is actually what I want. In the loop of an amp, you won't have any use for compressors and stuff like that anyway. The only problem with the G-Sharp (which is really, really easy to set up) is that the buffer clearing/setup when you switch effects is pretty bad.

I appreciate all the thoughts. Those of you selling, please PM me. It turns out in fact, the guy who sold me the JFX-1 to send to Rudy, does actually have another one, just not in as good condition as Rudy's. Whilst I'm waiting on pics/confirmation, I'm gonna try the 4CM on both my amps (one at a time ) with my GT-10.

Interesting, it looks like it's based on the principle as the G-Sharp, which has recently been discontinued. I like the idea.

I'm getting really interested in this unit. How well does it handle effect changes? Like I worte somewhere else, the G-Sharp is horrible in this regard and you have to mute the sound when changing.

As if by magic, I get the photos and this second JFX-1 looks like its been mauled by a starved dog... and a third one turns up on ebay, much better condition. Its also £25 cheaper than what I paid for Rudy's. I pelt it down to the ATM which fucks up. So I've hit the BIN and am making payment fri/sat.

there's a guy selling one on the MTS forum (http://mtsforum.grailtone.com/) at the moment. I was tempted, but it's in the US and I don't want to fuck around with step down transformers etc. to get it working on 240volts

Can't really comment - it's kind of a "set and forget" processor for me. I have delay on all the time, and if I feel like adding some chorus, I just push the button. I don't have a midi changer for it. That said, everything I've done with it to date has been seamless, and it's dead quiet.

Yep. And a bit more flexible as far as options. I also prefer the Lexicon 'verbs to TC.
