  • Modified Epoch 5w SS amp

Soooo, I got tired of the tinny-ness of the little 4 inch speaker that was built into this amp. Thought Id modify it to run my 412. Real easy mod, just cut down a piece of input cable (were talking 5w here, no need for speaker cable) and spliced it in to the speaker leads in the amp. Im quite surprised how good it sounds for what it is. Got a rather over the top pushed Marshall sound. Kind of neat. Ill have to get some pics and sound clips here soon. Its not the holy grail of tone or anything, but Ill repeat, its pretty damn fun to play through for what it is. Just a little beginner pack amp the MIL had lying around her house. I took it home a few weeks ago.

Had to start playing through it while my main rig is out of the house because a lent out my backup home jamming rig to a friend last night.

Crazy. I once rigged up four 4" Radioshack speakers in a cardboard box along with a powersoak because I had just gotten my first Marshall, a 50W jubilee combo chassis and was so desperate to try it...and was so poor living in a college dorm I couldn't afford anything else. After buying the Marshall lol. It wasn't bad, I thought I sounded just like Jeff Beck lol.
