I noticed that too. I'm curious about the "lower price" on these amps. Maybe I'll get one. Either that or a Mesa Boogie.

1974 Marshall JMP 50 watt head (model 1987, laydown trans, 4 holer)-incredible amp, my fave (turned up a little hotter by JFL Amps Montreal, does Plexi all the way to hot JCM 800 tones.)

Late 80's Laney Protube 50 watt head - does the British thing a bit different than the Marshalls

~ 10 year old Peavey Ultra all tube 60 watt - 1x12 combo 3 channels lots of tones in this box

Heads are going thru a no-name cab with Greenbacks and CL-80s in X

the 50 CL is just an awesome sounding amp. Mt footswitch on the Bogner is on the fritz so I've been playing the 50CL more and I think I've fallen back in love with it

It is pretty magical. Massive distortion, but it is still clean-sounding and dynamic. Rich and complex. Very little (relatively speaking of course, for an amp with this much gain) compression, somehow managing to retain that certain sag at the same time. So articulate. Simply listening to a chord harmonics interplay, or single note living and decaying, going through it harmonic palette is mezmorizing.

For those that want different amps without resorting to digital modelling, the Randalls go a long way
