My Honda CRV is badass. It goes 0-60 and could carry at least 2 Diezel 4x12 cabs and heads.

Just to drive the point home further... Your standard turbocharger adds about 6-8 pounds/square inch of pressure. Since standard atmospheric pressure is 101.3KPa, which, mental math permitting, is about 14.5 pounds/sq. inch, you're looking at about a 50% increase, and that's assuming perfect efficiency.I like EL34s.

2 litres is well over 1500cc. By about 500 millilitres (or cubic centimetres)
I know wikipedia isn't the be-all, but according to this, the base 1.5 ltr (or 1500cc, if you prefer) engine from the 60s was generating 75hp.
in '83 the Brabham team was pulling 1500hp out of the 20 year old 2 ltr version. Reasoning that any kinks would have been worked out of the block over 20 years, hopefully providing better reliability than using a new one.
either way, the figures you provided (800hp out of a 450hp engine) exceed your earlier estimate of a 50% increase.Last edited by VitaminG; 03-12-2012, 10:35 PM.Hail yesterday
