Decimator in the loop quiets things down completely. The only problem now is that I just have the one gate, and if I push the amp with an overdrive it gets too noisy. Really though, I'm finding that I get the sound I want without the EQ so I won't be needing the loop right at the moment. It's nice to know that it's nothing another gate pedal(or power conditioner) wouldn't fix though.

    Thanks for the advice!

You want a Decimator G-string. It mutes the front end and the loop based of the signal going into the front end.

Might be cheaper just to pick up another gate like an NS-2 or something. I don't think they had a pedal version of the G-String when I first bought my Decimator (back in 2003) otherwise I probably would have gotten it.
