i was looking to get a used 1. does anyone have any experience with these? and or thoughts ?? also i already have protools 9 on my macbook pro . seems like you can get them pretty cheap without the protools and the ilok {what is the ilok?}. is it worth spending the extra $ and getting the software {says it includes a free upgrade to pro tools 10}? ive yet to figure out pro tools 9 { or garage band for that matter}, im thinking a interface ment for guitar will help me simplafy the process. im not very tech savy, but im gunna have alot of free time this summer {band shit the bed}, and i wanna stay busy musically. thanks in advance... dave

It's a great unit. Not as good as an AxeFx, but you can buy 3 of them, and they are certainly easier to use.Comment

I have one and quite like it. Try and get one with the expansion pack. The extra models, cabs, and effects (speaker breakup, para eq, studio compressor) are all big improvements over the base edition. If you play metal it's worth it for the SOD amp model alone.GTWGITS! - RacerXComment

I think PT9 & 10 require an ilok key to run PT. If I understand correctly the 11R itself acts as an ilok when it is connected to a USB port.GTWGITS! - RacerXComment
