Carvin V3M and Legacy 3

No problem. Either one is a great amp. The regular V3 does have the ability for MIDI control, and it's also got two effects loops (series and parallel) that are "smart loops" where your effects in the loop will be remembered and turn on for whatever channel you have them on.

I have V3, V3MC, and an older Legacy. I leave the V3's extra knobs flat except sometimes turning up "deep" (depends on cab and pickups). If you like one of the V3s, you'll like the other too...
only thing I don't like on V3M is the effects loop doesn't switch.
