The v3m looks like a great deal but it doesn't seem to be a good low volume candidate for bed room practice.

It's got a master volume, and it sounds fine at low volume levels.

That's good to know. I read varying things on the Carvin forum regarding volume and issues that some people had with the stock tubes. As with most things it comes down to personal preference which is the difficult thing with not being able to try out the v3m in a store. Basically that is why I have been trying to read as much as I can and get as much input from people that own them.
