Consistency of the J50BC

As of now, my M6 is my best sounding guitar, but the pickups have gone microphonic. If I buy a new J50BC is it going to sound the same? I know some pickups, like the JB seem to vary a lot in their sound. Any thoughts? I don't want to change how this thing sounds

I think you can be safe if you:

Get a J50BC with the same markings as your current pickup

Measure the current pickup height to the strings

Maybe try having the pickup potted?
