I've been checking out ebay, and it seems the lowest they normally go is $900-950. Average is probably around $1,100-1,200. I paid $800, and this one is in very minty condition. It actually looks brand new, and even has the hang tags with it.
Nice score Paul. Its nice to see a JCF'r scoring a real tried and true industry standard high gain tube amp for a change. I am afraid that the JCF is turning into a software programmers forum with all the Axe FX computer fake guitar sound rigs being purchased. I cringe everytime I read that a fellow JCF'r got rid of a killer tube amp for one of those simulators. They will all come back around eventually.

Agreed! Tubes or GTFO!
Dual Rectifiers are cool. I vote you use the Marshall and the Mesa together.
But I don't play live so I should dump my tubes and get an AxeFx II?
Yes, the Axe FX is the ultimate bedroom rig. Just ask the 99% of the players that own them. I heard the Axe FX has 2 features that prove my point.
#1. A very nice alarm clock with a killer snooze button
#2. A nightlight for all you johnny cakes who are afraid that Ozzy is going to come and bite your head off.
There was one of these and a cab on the local CL for $900 the other day. If I had the cash I probably would have bitten on it. I love the Mesa cabs, lots of thump.

Historically, I've always been kinda resistant to following the herd, and I've always tried to look for amps that were unpopular, or unusual. Some of them were real gems, but I always wanted a Dual Rectifier, so I finally gave in and jumped on this one when it came along.
I've been looking at them, but don't know much. I was told the older ones were 2 channel, then a while back they went to 3 channel. Did they go back to 2 again, or did I have my info backwards?
