  • Post your Roland Synth-euipped Jacksons

Don't be hatin' now Tone-sideboobster For now, I just use my Boss GT and Eventide Eclipse to create synth-sounding effects. My DK2T is still sat on a workbench to have a Roland GK3 kit fitted. I wanted the GK-ready kit mod but worked out too spendy and time consuming. Its taken ages, and I just need some guitar-synth porn to ease the GAS (or make it worse).

i will do one better...here is my RMC equipped brian moore. tracks WAY better than a roland GK...plus it allows me to have decent piezo sounds available to blend with my synth and regular guitar tones.

    GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

    and finally....

i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

I see you went for the mod kit. Did you have the pot cavity hacked out to fit it all in there?

Not a vid, but an mp3 of a track I was working on when I still had the GK3 (and a Roland GI-20 interface, using an Alesis QSR for the sounds).

                  http://newcenstein.com/mp3/swang.mp3

The drums are way ahead due to the latency between the GI-20 and Alesis.

The swells are built into the Alesis horn patch I was using.

                    Good job Newc.
That is a whole other way to spend time I don't have! I can't get into a decent practice mode, let alone tweaking and recording stuff.
                    Thanks for sharing.

I'll go with that, I like that name I suppose that makes it one better than Les Pauls in Clown Burst

Hehe. It looks like the result of the clown having one too many hits of blotter acid.

Not gonna use for boop sounds (WTF is boop? ). The idea is to play smooth sounds such as classical strings, choirs, and eerie type sounds. Think of Nocturnus, only no keyboard, tis done on the guitar instead. I only use my keyboard for drum sounds. Apparently, the GR55 does do drums too. Now that'll be funny..
