pod x3 live with jmp1

I want to keep the x3L and use it for effects and a backup for gigs, and use it as a midi switcher to control the jmp. Im not 100% sure how to set this up. Should i go guitar->x3 -> jmp, turn off the preamps/cab modeling and then use the loop for effects? Is this the "4 cable" method?

meh, screw it. ill just use the quadraverb in the loop for dly/rev and use the x3 for everything else.
