  • Nice little half stack

The Son of Boogie now has its partner.
Thanks to Rich#6 for the nice Marshall 1966B 2X12 cab.
Diagonal Celestion GT 75's make this a great set up.
Fits nicely between my PC desk and the wall.

I think this Boogie sounds better thru a 2X12.Why? IDK.

I like the way my Marshall Artist (30 watt) sounds thru my Laney 4x10. Smaller cabs have more punch? Bigger cabs have more boom? Maybe?

Maybe so Don The SOB sounded good thru my Ampeg 4X12 with V30's.
Better thru my Jackson 4X12 but the Marshall has such a different sound to it.
I think punchy is a good way to put it.

I will miss this one. I had it for almost 20 years. I kept it over the 4x12 that came with my old marshall 8100. they were a great mix together. (a guess boom and punch) I couldn't use it now with my other cab & head. Ohms issue.
Glad your happy and I'm glad I could keep in in the family.

You know, way back in 1987 when I first heard a Silver Jubilee, I immediately fell in love with it - thru a 4x10 cab (2553 small head). I think I always have a soft spot for those smaller cabs.

But going completely opposite, I want to score a Randall Lynchbox cab, which I hear is oversized compared to a 1960A. I don't know if I'll like it, but I want it to match my head.

Having a matching cab is kinda nice I agree.

Hey thats a nice 2x12. I've never noticed those models before, I like the look of it. Is it heavier than more compact (shorter) 2x12 cabs?

Its taller and not as wide as the reg 2X12.

I'll have to keep my eyes open for one. I'm not big on normal 2x12s because they are so low to the ground and a 4x12 is overkill for me.

This cab is the perfect size for the boogie head.
I was kinda worried it would be too narrow.
Yeah if you find one Hellbat grab it.
