Well said MJT.

I try as many as I can get my hands on, just from a builder's perspective.
What I "hear" in design doesn't always translate to what someone expects the amp to do.
I guess I could do nothing but specialize in getting more and more gain, but that is
a saturated market IMO.

My bro had one, head & cab, purple ...: Magnifico !!! Won at a music auction for peanuts (something around $800...), 15 years ago . We went back at my home with it and tested it (we weren't even sure it was working out right...): it literally killed us ...!!! Very, very nice amp, one of the very best I've played (and I've played quite a few). A whole lot of gain and dynamics but still clean. I would compare it to a JCM 900 with more headroom, more gain, clearer ...
Definitely, a killer amp .
