  • Vipyr and zoom g 2.1DM

Hi everyone i wonder if you guys can help me on this. I have a peavey vypyr 30w amp and i would like to purchase a zoom G2.1 Dave Mustaine sig. but i don't know if the vypyr, that is already a modelling amp, with the zoom pedal, which modulates amps and stuff, will work well. Let me be clear, could the vypyr and the pedal make a messed up sound, or do they actually work fine together?

    Thanks in advance.

Run the amp on a dry setting it should do OK.

Dry setting would mean, turn off any amp modeling on the Vypyr, leave most settings flat, then use the modeling features of the Zoom.

On the zoom can the amp settings be bypassed? Because on the vypyr i don't think you can do that on the amp modulation.

Just set the Vyper to one of the clean models like the "TWN" or "DLX" and it should work okay. Make sure to keep the gain at or below where if your guitar is plugged in directly it's very clean.
