I just picked this one up this afternoon after a dentist appointment on an impulse buy, just because I was impressed with their toneprint delay I bought a while back. I've only been playing with it for about 20 minutes using it in front of a few different amp models in my 11 rack with my Strat and I'm quite enjoying it.
I'll have to try it after dinner tonight with some higher gain stuff with my Rhoads as well as with my tube amp, but so far it's the best boost I've ever tried with my Strat.
*** After dinner edit : This pedal gets a two thumbs up from me for sounds. It got a little tubby with high gain on the strat neck but I literally haven't been able to make it sound bad with any amp model I've tried it in front of.
I used it through my main live patch (Keep in mind the band I'm in covers 50's music to modern day pop.) which consists of a JTM-45 running clean with a modeled tubescreamer in front for crunch. This thing + the tubescreamer takes me into a really cool grindy mid crunch tone thats just amazing for leads and keeps a lot of playing dynamics and clarity like it's still clean.
It also excels pushing a Bogner 101B blue channel model from light crunch into hair metal lead tone and plays nicely with an SLO crunch channel as well.
If you are looking for a mostly clean boost this pedal is worth looking at. It's a little more than the cheaper Boss pedals price wise at $125, but it's still well below boutique pedals.
