Picked up one yesterday and yep a pretty cool amp! Very very good sounding for such a small package.Effects are from Yamaha's high end studio mixers. Now need to install the Cubase Al6 software that came with it. Seems to do all things very well so now I have a cool little desktop amp and interface all in one. The expanded stereo in this thing is amazing.Acts like a tube amp as you add gain and volume I'm impressed.

Looked at interfaces and most were $299 and higher this is a nice table top amp on its own plus an interface so I figured hell I'll give it a try.
I looked at a lot of YT vids over the last few months and thought I can figure out the Cubase if I put my mind to it.
Pro tracks, pro tools I found useless and way to confusing to work with I hope this is different.
If not I have a cool little amp.
$317.00 out the door.Really? well screw Mark Twain.

I have the 10C model. I should have grabbed the standard one, but the general design is really good. I plan on putting in some beach time with it on batteries this summer.
They take OD pedals quite nicely too.
Make sure you install the Yamaha software as well, it lets you adjust some hidden effects settings that you can't using the panel controls. ( for example the 10c has a built in compressor and you can also choose different reverb types as well as adjust the settings more. )Last edited by Hellbat; 06-20-2013, 03:47 PM.GTWGITS! - RacerX

Won't let me register the product, driver won't load and I did everything I know to do but nada, if I can't use it fuck it its going back.
Yamaha's little minions want to bleed money from you just to install the product.
Hell it was a snap to get the GNX3000 I had and the pro tracks loaded but this unit is a pain in the ass.
No PC recording shit for me ever its plug and play from here on out.Really? well screw Mark Twain.

I'd like to register it then install cubase registry is a PITA.
I just downloaded the manual without any issues. No additional sites, not PC cleaning. Went to the support page for the product, found the manual, downloaded itHail yesterday

I can email you the editor, it's only 4MB in a zip file.
I'm pretty sure the editor works with all models. I never tried using the included recording software so I can't speak for it, but the editor was nice. I have my 11 rack as an interface.GTWGITS! - RacerX

I went to that site in the manual and all it wanted to do was sell me a PC cleaning tool and nothing else.I understand you need enough GB to run it and I have plenty and have it defraged automatically done each Wednesday.I have lots of protection on my PC that stays updated.and tons of space left on the HD.
I found another site for registration and the link was dead.
Its giving me fits because I want to use the amp and the cubase software I had made my mind up I was going to learn how to use it or die trying.LOL
I never have any luck with recording software its just too damn complicated for one and this episode has sworn me off for good.
The amp is cool as hell and I love the tones and versatility but kind of useless when I can plug into my Johnson J station and get damn near the same versatility.Last edited by straycat; 06-21-2013, 12:56 AM.Really? well screw Mark Twain.

sorry, stray. I misread. Thought you were talking about downloading the manual, not going to the address in the manual. So are you talking about the download.yamaha.com? I just went there, selected the US (figuring that's the country you'd choose) and searched for the THR10. I didn't see any prompts for PC cleaning software or anything asking for money to install anything. Did you see those messages when you first went to the site or as you clicked through it?
No chance you have some malware on your pc?
btw, the usb drivers, manuals & editor are here:
Hail yesterday
