  • New Marshall 4X12 day

A friend caught me on FB and we worked out a deal on his 1960A cab.
Been looking for another 1960 A cab for a while to mate to one I run my rack thru.So now two Marshall cabs to run stereo.
The Cyg 30 watt sounds killer thru it too BTW.
    Really? well screw Mark Twain.

I had to get rid of mine, no longer have the space (have two kids now instead). Shame, it was one of the original slash signatures

The friend was downsizing his gigging set up and was tired of packing this cab around.
I just happened to have the Marshall 2X12 he wanted and a reverb pedal so the deal was done

Can't beat a 1960. Greenbacks are my fave but like 75's, and Classic Lead 80's sound very good too. NOT a fan of V30.

This one has the 75's just like the other cab I have so its a great match.
I have been using another 4X12 with V30's and it just wasn't a balanced sound while running stereo.

Nice score Stray! I like the A 4x12. I have the JCM800 version with 75's.

Funny I never liked V30's and don't like them with a Marshall. When I got a Bogner 4x12 for a steal it had V30's and for some reason I really like them in that cab paired with the 101B.

I've not tried V30's and keep hearing the same thing.
It must be for the blues (rock chatter) dudes that are looking for
                  cone breakup with tweeds.
Not intended for what rock players expect, and that's to get a more accurate production of the tone
                  coming through the amp.
