I am not surprised. Overpriced and I never heard one that I thought sounded good.

I have a old krankenstein that I got from one of there endorsers that I love. I have a old rev1 that is to mellow for me. Time to wait for the. Sell off of old inventory. I'd love a krankenstein combo.

I never liked Krank tone. I honestly didn't give them a chance when it was found out Krank themselves were creating fake positive reviews of their amps on forums and on HC.

Well it looks like they'll still being around repairing Kranks, sure that will keep them busy.

That's a new company started by the original guys.

Somebody indeed dumped a heap of money into that company in the mid-2000s. Seemingly in an instant they went from practically unheard of to having back cover ads in guitar magazines with an army of endorsed artists. I check a lot of guitar forums and have not heard very many fans of the tone of their amps. Seems like it was doomed from the get-go. You can only pump money into a non-popular product for so long before it all busts.

Whats funny is the same guys are making amps again. Wanna bet its the same stuff, different exterior? "Hey, Im gonna stick my dick in this meat grinder." "Ouch, that hurt like hell!" "Hey, lets do that same thing again." Brilliant.

Stiffamps?? What's the odds that this one will also go under??

"Hey, we are stiff amps and we have a new case for the bees"

In america, the bees population is dwindling...they are all trapped in the krank amps!

Did Dime actually use one or did he just have his picture made near one?

I wonder if they banked on Dimebag and with his death things went south (unlike Dean guitars-I'm talking sales not quality)

^That might factor into the equation, but the biggest problem is that the amps just weren't popular with most players. They ran a ton of ads and had a bunch of endorsed artists......but that will only take things so far. People have to actually like the product.

I think with technology today with youtube, FB and online sound clips traditional marketing (vast artist endorsee's, full page print adds in guitar mags etc) will not work as it once did. People hear the product/clips and all other marketing becomes useless.

I honestly don't know anyone who plays them and I'm pretty sure it has a lot to do with the clips and lack of tone they produce.
