I've got a 50 watt head thats running thru a 2x12 Splawn cab. I just bought a 1x12 EVH cab to use instead ( 40 pounds lighter) to carry around to jams and gigs but I noticed the speaker in the cab is rated at 30 watts. ??? Am I safe here running a 50 watter thru a 30 watt cab? I'm not sure why they would make a 30 watt speaker as an option but you guys think I'd be safe or should I go ahead and buy a 2nd 1x12 ( down the road of course).

If you are talking the Fender 5150 iii, then the cab will work just fine with the 50 watt head. I have that set up and it sounds amazing. Obviously make sure you are jacked into the correct OHMS port for the cab. Then rock on."Rule number one: In my van, it's Rush. All Rush, all the time. No exceptions.
