Daisy chaining is okay as long as you keep the ohms in check you shouldn't have a problem. I was just telling Axe not to daisy chain two 8 ohms cabs into an 8 ohm output.
This is what I think of Gibson since 1993. I HATE BEING LEFT HANDED! I rock out to Baby metal because Wilkinsi said I can't listen to Rick Astley anymore.

I have never tried their rack systems but if they're anything like the old solid state heads then they're worth checking out. The old RG 100 ES I have is killer and has the deepest reverb I've ever heard.

My black tolex RG 100 ES is an 85 as well!!! It's amazing that it's 28 years old and still stands up to my Marshall JVM's. I doesn't have as many options but it's dirty channel and clean channel are among the best sounding I've ever heard.

I was not speaking in terms of volume. I should have clarified that better. I love my old Randall because it was my first half stack so I guess that's just me being sentimental. The Marshall JVM is one of the best amps ever made so far and in terms of options, different sound capabilities and sheer volume there is no comparison. Also keep in mind the Randall is 28 years old so there's no way it can compare on any level.

Also I have never seen a 100 watt solid state that can match a 100 watt all tube for sheer volume.

hell ive never seen a 100watt ss that could keep up w a 50 watt tube head ha ha. yeah i guess i just misunderstood what you meant by stand up to the jvm's.

axedude- that stack does look killer man and as others said each out to a cab.

My Randall SS power amp when I had it in my rack would rattle the pictures off the wall in next bedroom as well as the living room 30 ft away.
And the 2 4X12's were facing opposite of those two rooms my 50 watter tube amps can't do that.Never have yet anyway.
                          Really? well screw Mark Twain.

are you talking a 50watt tube combo or a 50watt tube head to two 4x12s in the same setup?

Running cabs in series (daisy chaining) will actually increase the impedance (assuming it's wired that way). Always follow the rule "series adds, parallel divides". In this case, two 8 ohm cabs in series would be a 16 ohm load, so while it's not ideal, it's not going to blow anything up. Even a tube amp will be okay if you run a higher impedance cab than recommended but it might lower the volume, and alter the tone somewhat. The OPs amp is actually pretty clearly labelled compared to some amps as far as what you can plug into it.
